Apple Watch + Android
ConnectWear brings your phone's notifications, calls, texts, directions, alarms and music to your wrist, and sends your workouts and sleep back to Health Connect.
What you need: an Android phone (Android 8 or later) with the free ConnectWear app, and an Apple Watch (watchOS 10 or later). ConnectWear is for Android phone owners; it doesn't connect to an iPhone.
Now in beta testing. Join the Android beta.

Notifications
Every notification from your phone shows up on your watch. Reply by voice or with a quick reply, mark it as read, or dismiss it, and it clears on your phone too.

Calls
See who's calling and answer or decline from the watch. Switch to speakerphone, call back from your recents, or call anyone in your contacts.

Turn-by-turn
Directions from your phone appear on your watch, with a tap on the wrist before each turn. Pick a saved place or say a destination on the watch and the route starts on your phone.

Now Playing
See what's playing on your phone, with cover art. Play, pause and skip, and turn the Digital Crown for volume. Or copy music and podcasts to the watch and leave the phone at home.

Alarms
Your phone's alarms ring on your wrist, with Snooze and Stop. Set a new alarm from the watch and it lands in your phone's clock app.

Ask AI
Raise your wrist and ask a question out loud. Claude or Gemini answers, with your own API key, and the watch reads the answer to you. Ask a follow-up any time.

Photos & files
Browse your phone's recent photos and videos, and zoom in with a double tap or the Digital Crown. Files opens the folders you share from your phone, folder by folder, or lists their documents, videos and audio by kind. Read text files and PDF pages right on the watch. You choose which folders: ConnectWear sees nothing else.

Media on watch
Pick a folder on your phone and tap Sync now. Its music, podcasts, videos, photos and documents copy to your watch over Wi-Fi or your phone's hotspot, subfolders and all. Then listen with Bluetooth headphones, watch videos, and read documents with no phone nearby.
Watch how to get around ConnectWear on your watch and your phone. The dot shows where to tap. Pause any time, or pick a step.

Health
ConnectWear sends the steps, heart rate, workouts and sleep your watch records to Health Connect on your phone, so the fitness apps you use there can show them. Workouts come with calories and distance, and nights are grouped into sleep sessions.
The phone app
The ConnectWear companion app keeps the link to your watch running in the background. Each card turns on one part of ConnectWear, so you choose exactly what reaches your wrist.
The ConnectWear companion app runs on your Android phone and asks for the access each feature needs. You choose which ones to turn on.

The watch and phone connect over Bluetooth. When the watch app is asleep, alerts still arrive as push notifications.
The ConnectWear phone app is coming to Google Play. Help test it first: all you need is an Android phone (Android 8 or later). With an Apple Watch you can try everything. Email us the Google account you use on your phone, and we'll send you the link to join the test on Google Play.

Your notifications, messages, contacts, photos and health data go straight from your phone to your watch. Alerts for a sleeping watch, and your taps and replies when Bluetooth is down, pass through ConnectWear's push server encrypted, so only your own watch and phone can read them. No accounts, no analytics.
An Apple Watch with watchOS 10 or later and an Android phone with Android 8.0 or later. The Control Center controls need watchOS 26.
No. ConnectWear connects your Apple Watch to an Android phone. If you use an iPhone, your Apple Watch already does all of this with it, and you don't need ConnectWear.
Apple Watch has to be set up with an iPhone, and apps install through it. After that, ConnectWear talks to your Android phone directly over Bluetooth, and the iPhone can stay at home.
Yes. The watch and phone stay linked over Bluetooth as long as they're in range, like a regular watch and phone.
Pick a folder on your phone and tap Sync now. The files copy to your watch over your local Wi-Fi or your phone's hotspot, then play offline. Videos are converted on the phone to fit the watch.
Steps, heart rate, workouts and sleep recorded by your watch are written to Health Connect on your phone, so apps that read Health Connect can show them.
Ask AI uses your own Claude (Anthropic) or Gemini (Google) API key, so any usage is billed by that provider to your account. Your questions go straight from your phone to the provider you choose.
